Kothari Bagh

Collaborating with RMA Architects and Nozer Wadia Associates, we restored Kothari Bagh, the ₹2.6 crore private residence of Ms. Nina Kothari in Chennai. As conservation architects, we revived its colonial-era elegance, meticulously restoring teak woodwork and ornate plaster friezes using traditional lime-based techniques. Our detailed restoration plans and working drawings guided structural stabilization, while on-site supervision ensured heritage authenticity. We crafted comprehensive estimates and reports, blending best-practice conservation with modern comforts. The rejuvenated Kothari Bagh stands as a testament to timeless craftsmanship, harmonizing history with contemporary living, and showcasing Chennai’s architectural heritage. We successfully restored the 85 year old bungalow restoring its striking features in traditional methods while retrofitting the structure to house modern facilities.
