At Tamil Nadu’s Government Museum, we crafted a vibrant cafeteria that marries heritage with hospitality. Our adaptive reuse design preserved the museum’s colonial-era sandstone facade, using lime-based plaster to restore its weathered charm. Intricate jali-inspired screens and sustainable teak furnishings reflect Tamil Nadu’s cultural motifs, creating an inviting dining space. We led end-to-end planning, from structural reinforcement to eco-friendly material selection, ensuring seamless integration with the historic site. The cafeteria enhances the visitor experience, offering a serene retreat amid ancient artifacts, while our conservation techniques protect the museum’s legacy for future generations.
